Focus of Centre:

Provide training and work experience in creative video production through small individual projects and commissioned work.

Adults with significant learning and physical disabilities.

The Technology

A small TV studio equipped lighting grid, cyclorama, chroma – key screen and 5 tapeless Sony PMW – EX1 camcorders.
A control room with on-line vision and sound mixers.
A matrox axio dedicated video editing PC enabling real-time editing with Adobe Premier Pro software.
3 video editing PC’s complete with DTP, web design and video editing software.
A stop frame animating studio.
A location camcorder (ENG) with lighting kit.
A small sound recording booth for voiceovers with an additional 2 production PCs

Assistive Technology

Track balls, clamps to enable cameras to be wheelchair mounted. The cameras can be controlled using dyanavox technology.

Services on offer to the network

We can offer a full video production and web design service and advice on using communicative media.

Partnerships

We work with many organisations such as the Coquet Trust to enhance their communication strategies.
We are planning to create further partnerships with film production companies such as Arpeggio Films.

Any other information

We have completed a number commissioned videos such as a signing dictionary for North East BSL and Coquet Trust.
