Focus of Centre:

The object of the Centre is to give access to people with spinal injuries to assistive computer technology for training in order to help them to communicate with family and friends during their stay in hospital and to improve their quality of life and independence after they have been discharged.

The Clients

Any patient in the centre can now have access to a PC, regardless of their level of injury – in particular patients with high-level spinal cord injuries and limited arm and hand movement.

Assistive Technology

From voice-activated software, to a head tracker device, patients can now benefit from one to one adaptive assessments, thereby facilitating independent access to the many social benefits of IT.
