Focus of Centre:

The Karten CTEC Centre at Sully allows over 50 disabled service users to:

• Improve their quality of life
• Increase their independence and communication skills
• Access basic education
• Use computers to gain valuable lifeskills
• Enhance their experiences by using interactive software

The Clients

Wide range of disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, acquired head injuries, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, autism. Some service users have multiple and profound disabilities, plus associated learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and mental health difficulties.

The Centre is situated within the Sully Skills Development Centre, approximately 7 miles south west of Cardiff – a fully accessible building, which has been refurbished throughout, to provide a modern and spacious location. The layout of the Karten CTEC Centre has created an innovative and stimulating environment that is attractive to service users and unique to the centre.
