Focus of Centre:

Creative Arts, Social Interaction, Audio and Video recording, editing and broadcasting (IPTV)

The Clients:

16 to 25 year old learners with severe epilepsy or other related neurological conditions, all with severe or multiple learning difficulties.

The Technology:

Sound, lighting and controls for a performance area, a recording studio and broadcasting suite, a control room with editing and broadcasting facilities (IPTV)

Assistive Technology:

All equipment was purchased and will be configured to optimise accessibility for our students, however, due to the specialities of the equipment itself, no accessible versions of the hardware or software exists and this will very much be a development process to be addressed with our students once the centre is fully functional.

Staffing:

ICT Department is responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting the centre, students will access the facility with assistance from teaching staff and support staff.

Term time 8:30 till 20:00

Services on offer to the network:

Recording facilities, performance space and hopefully IPTV broadcasting on the internet in future, this will be dependent on bandwidth availability and further network infrastructure developments
