Services/focus of the Karten Centre
Study support for disabled students across the college, introducing student to a range of assistive hardware and software to support independent learning.
Principally full-time enrolled college students. Needs range from those with an SPLD, principally dyslexia, to students with profound and multiple learning support needs.

Sharing of good practice / case studies relating to use of assistive technology in the classroom and to support independent study.
We currently do not have any active partnership projects but the Student Support Services department works closely with the council's education department and a range of local agencies to support students' transition into college, through their course and on to their next destination.
