Services/focus of the Karten Centre

Each week we run 7 structured sessions in computer use including: control of components, switching on/off, saving work, safety online, accessing internet/ social media, support with a personal project etc. In between sessions, members use the centre for art or pursuing hobbies on the internet, music, games, YouTube etc. The centre is integral to other activities and courses run at the centre: photography is very popular and members use the computers to sort and edit photos and create scrap books and life stories. Members taking part in our 'history', 'out and about', 'nature' and 'your community' courses use the computers for background research.
