Services/focus of the Karten Centre

Group training and 1 to 1 support for participants with a wide range of disabilities completing qualifications such as OCR Digital employability/ ECDL / Basic ICT skills. ICT assessments, recommendations for assistive and adaptive technology. Training on assistive and adaptive technology. Outreach work promoting digital skills in the local community and demonstrating equipment and accessibility features of everyday devices such as tablets and smart phones.

Clients

Participants are engaged on the 'inclusion works' program at Cedar which can run from a few months to 2 years or more and have a wide range of varied goals from long term employment and further training to social outcomes engaging more with activities in their local communities.

Disabilities

A wide range of physical disabilities including visual impairment, hearing impairment, brain injury and autism.
