David Lewis, Eduprint

Services/focus of the Karten Centre

Eduprint provides training and work experience to service users with varying needs across tow different sites (a shop and industrial unit) in Macclesfield. Work experience and training is focused around customer services, money handling, printing and general IT usage (to include email, spreadsheets, word processing and using the internet). Of the two different sites worked at one is a shop taking and processing orders (more a sales with small design and printing service), the other is an industrial unit mostly providing a design and production service. The greater concentration of computer equipment is at the Industrial Unit.

Services offered to the Network

Eduprint could provide a wider printing service to the Karten Network - we are able to competitively produce flyers, posters, business cards, canvas prints, phone covers, mugs, t-shirts, banners, coasters, key rings and slate and glass framed pictures.

We would also, happily, share any experience and experience and expertise required within the Network.

Partnerships

We are working closely with the main Eduprint organisation who have allowed us to use their name (with a changed logo), supply us with a great many supplies for our printing and have support us with training for staff.

We also work alongside Wood bank who have provided additional printing equipment to enable us to become more competitive and commercially focused

Additional Information

Eduprint has seen significant growth in service user numbers, activity and workload in recent years thanks to the continuded support for the Karten Trust and Network. Eduprint (David Lewis) maintains close links with the main Eduprint organisation, an association instigated initially through the Karten Trust.
