Services/focus of the Karten Centre

We offer assessment, training, advice and support for people with specific learning difficulties, especially dyslexia. We teach people of all ages (literacy, maths, study skills, strategies for work) & provide workplace coaching at the Cardiff Learning Centre. Use of assistive technology is integral to our teaching and support.

Clients

The clients who come for teaching/coaching usually attend for pre-arranged sessions (usually 1-2 hours per week). Assessments are one-off, as are advice sessions and training courses.

Disabilities

Specific learning difficulties - primarily dyslexia, but many have co-occurring SpLDs, e.g. DCD, ADHD, ASD, SLI
