Services/focus of the Karten Centre

QEF Independent Living Services is a residential centre for 43 adults with disabilities. The centre prepares young adults for the style of independent living which best suits them, from a single room, to a shared flat to a group home situation. The "Infozone", where the Karten Computer Suite is held, is a shared space for residents for art, crafts and technology.

Services offered to the Network

It is not clear how our centre might help the network, but we would always welcome visitors.

We work with Lattitude, a volunteering charity, who provide long-term volunteers who are resident at the centre on a "Gap Year" basis. We publicized this in the Network newsletter when we wrote about Princess Anne's visit there in March.
