Opening of Inklusion

The official opening of Inkclusion Print – part of St John’s College – took place on 16th November. Inkclusion Print is a Karten CTEC Centre, and, as the name implies, has print facilities. It is located in the community, so students practice many skills just getting to the print shop. The students interviewed many of the visitors live for their radio station. We were all very well looked after, with lots of tea and cake, served very professionally! We all wish Inklusion Print every success.

End of an era

The Trustees are sad to announce the death of Mildred Karten on 1st January 2013

Mildred with her much loved dogsMildred in her beautiful garden, with 2 of the many dogs who were lucky enough to live with them

Since Ian’s death,  Mildred had taken a more active role in Trustee’s meetings, and it will be very strange to have neither Ian nor Mildred present. We hope, however, that family involvement will continue.

We will all miss her enormously, and send our condolences to Mildred’s family and friends.

Karten Conference 13th October 2009

Edgbaston Cricket Ground
Edgbaston Cricket Ground

Our conference was a great success! The speakers were all excellent, and delegates said they left with lots of exciting ideas to follow up. Many thanks to everyone who spoke. The exhibition was equally successful, and lots of people commented on the value of having such a range of products on display. Rachel Morris, who had been giving the keynote address, was at the last minute unable to join us. Dan Bentley deserves great thanks for delivering a remote presentation!

The Awards Ceremony was a testament to the amazing work done in Karten Centres, and details of the winners and shortlisted applicants will be available on the conference pages.

More on the conference will follow shortly, so please check back on the site.

Map options

Hi

I like the new maps! Is it possible to write Eire on Map 2? If so, I much prefer that version. Thanks for finding them
