There are a large number of e-Safety related resources available on the Internet. Most of these are aimed at schools and young people under the age of 16. Some of that information might be useful for any age group but we have focused mainly on over 16s.

Cyberbullying – an introduction (DirectGov)
Cyberbullying is when one person or a group of people try to threaten or embarrass someone else using a mobile phone or the internet. Cyberbullying is just as harmful as bullying in the real world. If you see it happening, report it. Don’t ignore it.
A range of tools, resources and information. Of particular interest might be the section on your settings and how to protect your information and control who can see what you have posted and how to block someone if necessary.
Get Safe Online (Government and business funded)
This resource provides practical advice on how to protect yourself, your computer or mobile device and your business against fraud, identity theft, viruses and many other problems encountered online. Every topic you can think of is included on the site – including safe online shopping, gaming and dating.
Not Safe at Work (TUC)
Video, further information and a quiz about social media and how it can empower you to network with new people, but also how the trail of what you do online might end up putting you at risk.
This page gives information about offensive material you may come across online and what to do about it. It also contains information on safeguarding children.
Vodaphone focus on the key issues that a young person might face in their digital world, such as downloading and managing their online reputation, and provide advice about how you can help them deal with this. You’ll also find links to lots of other useful websites as well as a section for 15+.
WebWise Online Safety (BBC)
Interactive learning about viruses and child safety, a ‘Have a Go Safety Mission’ and a Weakest Link quiz.

E-Safety cannot be managed in the same way in the post-16 sector. In fact, the issue of staying safe online is only one factor in the increasingly complex environment of online delivery.
