The project partners are all Independent Specialist Colleges (ISCs) and members of the East Midlands Peer Review and Development (PRD) Group:
Landmarks – a thriving, small Specialist College for people with learning difficulties and disabilities. The College offers a wide range of programmes which are individually tailored to meet a variety of needs. We are located in an idyllic setting in a site of outstanding natural beauty which provides a tranquil environment in which to learn and work.
Homefield College – a relatively small Independent Specialist College (and a charity) that provides provision for people with severe and moderate learning difficulties. The majority of students are on the autistic spectrum.
Portland College – a vibrant national college for people with a wide range of disabilities. We strive to develop every learner’s unimagined potential with a personalised programme that can include work experience and volunteering. We deliver a specialised sensory curriculum for learners with more complex needs.
Hinwick Hall – an independent specialist college working with learners who have physical, sensory and learning difficulties. Our qualifications, courses and pathways enable students to prepare for adult life after college.
Linkage College – provides specialist Further Education for over 200 young adults with a wide range of learning disabilities / difficulties. Our aim is to help every student develop toward adulthood in achieving greater independence for his/her future life through individualised programmes of realistic vocational training, the development of independence skills and work experience placements.
RNIB College Loughborough – supports people with sight loss and/or other disabilities in learning to access education, work and housing, to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and positive relationships. It provides expert staff, modern facilities and a wide range of opportunities for involvement in work and the community.
National Star College – an award winning, specialist college providing personalised learning and transition services for people with disabilities. We work with students with complex physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and associated difficulties who want to take more control over their future lives and achieve their long term goals.
